Super Negin is saffron trimmed to the red stigma alone and sorted for long, thick, straight threads with an even, deep colour. Choose it when appearance matters as much as colour and aroma: for gifts, celebrations and dishes where the threads are on show.

Super Negin is the most carefully trimmed of the four saffron cuts we offer. After the crocus flowers are picked, the red stigmas are separated from the paler style and only the red part is kept. The threads are then sorted so that the finished saffron is long, thick and straight, with very little breakage.
The result is saffron that looks as good as it performs. A few threads, ground and steeped, colour rice and sweets a rich gold; a few more, scattered whole, make a dish or a gift box look special.
Grade names describe the cut and sorting, not a laboratory result. If you need documentation for a particular batch, ask us when you enquire.
Keep in an airtight, light-proof container in a cool, dry cupboard, away from the stove and strong-smelling spices. Use a dry spoon and close the container promptly.
