Negin is a cut of whole red stigmas with the style removed, giving long, full threads. It offers much of the look of Super Negin with slightly less strict sorting: a dependable choice for restaurants, celebrations and everyday dishes that deserve something special.

Negin keeps the whole red stigma and removes the paler style, so every thread is red from end to end. The threads are long and full, and the saffron is sorted to keep breakage low.
Compared with Super Negin, Negin is sorted a little less strictly, so you may see more variation in thread length and shape. In the pot that difference disappears: ground and steeped, Negin gives a rich golden colour and the familiar warm aroma of good saffron.
It is a versatile grade for busy kitchens and home cooks alike, and it also makes a lovely gift.
Keep in an airtight, light-proof container in a cool, dry cupboard, away from the stove and strong-smelling spices. Use a dry spoon and close the container promptly.
